Booking a Visit at a Medicover Partner Facility (Poland)
This section explains how to book and attend a visit at a Medicover partner facility ("placówka współpracująca") in Poland. Partner facilities are healthcare providers outside Medicover's own network of centers that accept Medicover coverage.
This only applies to partner facilities. Visits at Medicover's own centers ("Centrum Medicover") do not require an authorization code - book them directly through the app or hotline as normal.
You need an authorization code
To attend a visit at a partner facility, you need a one-time authorization code ("kod autoryzacyjny"). You give this code at the facility's reception when you arrive.
- The code is valid for 14 days, so you can generate it ahead of your appointment.
- You generate it yourself - either in the Medicover OnLine app, or by phone.
- The same process applies to visits for your children (via their accounts).
How to get a code (app)
- Download and log in to Medicover OnLine - available on the App Store and Google Play. If your login isn't active, you'll need to activate it at any Medicover Center or dental center first.
- In the search bar, select "Placówki współpracujące" (Partner facilities).
- Find the consultation you want and select "Uzyskaj kod autoryzacyjny" (Get authorization code).
- Enter your phone number. Medicover will send the code by SMS.
- Give the code at the partner facility's reception when you arrive.
How to get a code (phone)
If you don't use the app, you can get a code by phone instead.
- Call 500 900 500.
- Follow the voice prompts and select: "Generacja kodu autoryzacyjnego do placówki współpracującej".
- You'll receive the code to use at reception.
Codes for children
Children on your Medicover plan need their own code for each partner facility visit. Two ways to get one:
- In the app: Generate the code from the child's account (not the parent's account), following the same steps as above.
- By phone: Call 500 900 500 and follow the same prompts. If your child's Medicover account isn't active yet, activate it at any Medicover Center or dental center.
Troubleshooting
- Code didn't arrive by SMS: Check the phone number you entered and try again. If it still doesn't arrive, call 500 900 500.
- Partner facility says the code is invalid: Codes expire after 14 days. Generate a new one.
- Can't log in to the app: Your account may not be activated. Visit any Medicover Center or dental center to activate it.
